Braids and Multi-tasking

Still doing great on my diet...it is getting easier every week. I even resisted temptation when my MIL made her amazing brownies. I mearly sniffed and then passed on it. WOW!

I have no title for today's post. It is sunny, yet cooler than the past few days. Still nice though. Tomorrow is officially the first day of spring....AMEN!! I have been waiting for spring since December 26th!

Jason didn't get the job he interviewed for on Friday the 13th. The reason...he was too career driven. They were looking for someone less ambitious. What is that all about?? UGH!

I found this totally cute jacket from Old Navy on sale and really love the blue color. So cute for $30! Why is it you always find so many things you love when you don't want or have money to spend?

On a good note...I logged some more miles on the treadmill again.

Fab Finds

I came across this necklace and clutch the other day and I cannot stop thinking about them.

This necklace on etsy is so delicate and unique. I love the simplicity of it, yet it makes a personal statement. It would be like the famous "Carrie" necklace from Sex and the City. I may have to get one. And...get one for Lauren that she can have when she is older.




I love big clutches. This one has a great weave pattern and the color is fabulous. I am loving dark gray right now!

Luck Of The Irish!

Happy St. Patty's Day to all! I am 50 % Irish and I did not have a green top to wear! Scandalous I know. I had to settle for green in my socks today and my eyes are green. My grandpa would be so disappointed. Guess that means I better get some green in my waredrobe stat!

I am loving this unseasonably warm weather. Could hit 73 today! The sun is shining and I feel great. Was up at 4am to do my cardio workout again. Logged another 3.69 miles before the sun was up.

Excercise!

So on Friday night I decided it was time to test my legs and see if I can start back on an excercise routine. It has been 2 months since I excercised due to the accident.

I am happy to report that things went well, very well! In fact, I was even able to run. Hallelujah!! So, this weekend I logged just over 9 miles on the treadmill. So far so good! I feel fantastic. I sure hope the weight really starts dropping now.

And...this weather is amazing. Talk about putting someone in a great mood. 63 today and 72 tomorrow!

Lauren started to spell her name this weekend. I was floored...didn't know she knew how to do that. We always spell it for her, but now she does it herself.

I forgot to post that I managed to drop 2 more pounds last week...bringing my 3 week total to 7.5 so far. I am very proud of myself and I must say it has been easier than I thought it would. Granted, I have only been eating really well. The excercise I am hoping will start next week. I think my knee is feeling better as long as I don't kneel on it. So we will give it a whirl.

I just have to think of it like a job. Yeah...I am a celebrity that has to get in shape for a role. LOL!

Hope everyone has a great weekend. Looks like spring may finally be approaching as we should hit the 40's and 50's in the upcoming days.

Peep Toe Heaven

I have wanted a pair of sassy, adorable, red peep toe shoes for a couple of years now. I have never quite come across a pair that made me say "I must have them", until now:

Cold Blah!!!

Ugh...I am so sick of winter! Lauren and I both had wicked colds (well have) I am still trying to get rid of mine. Lauren FINALLY seemed almost normal today after 10 days of this crap. Doesn't help that daycare has reported cases of pink eye, RSV, Influenza and Pnuemonia!

So to make myself feel better....a little online fun finds! Oh spring I cannot wait till you get here!

this beautiful dress!! I made my decision and it will continue to motivate me to lose this weight and get toned. Did you see the back on this dress? Yikes! I can do it though. The dress will be in a beautiful chocolate brown. Ahhh....my perfect Oscar dress come true.
