Something New..Hairdo

I have a hair appointment at 2pm today. I cannot wait! I have not had my hair cut since June 30th and it was only a trim. My hair is all the way down my back and I am dying for something new and fun. I looked and looked for the past few weeks and really am loving the do that Reese Witherspoon is sporting below. I plan to see what my stylist thinks and if I can pull it off, I will!

Friends and Family

Last Friday night, I got together with a few friends from college. Tricia was coming down from Minneapolis, Kim from Milwaukee and Jackie from Sauk. We all had dinner at the BonFyre in Madison. It was such a great time. We laughed so much. I had not seen most of them in about 3 years. We made a vow to get together once a year.

On Sunday, 10-10-10, we celebrated Jason and Jennie's birthdays. Jason's was on 10-10-10 and Jennie's is today (10-12-10)

October Is Here

We have been having some of the most beautiful weather for about the past 2 weeks...soo lucky! I love October. It is a busy time, but so much fun. We just celebrated my brother's birthday on Monday, Jason's is on Sunday and his sister's is next Tuesday. Whew! So much to celebrate!! On Wednesday, Lauren was suppose to go to the pumpkin patch with her 4K class. I got a call about 10:30 that she had a 102 temp! She always misses the fun days. So we were home Wednesday and yesterday with a fever. That was the only symptom...so strange!

Miss Amelia in her mouse hat!

Last Saturday I had lunch with 2 of my childhood friends, Mindy and Heidi (we have known eachother since kindergarten)

Poor little sick girl.

My organization station is finally done and functional.

My only Halloween decor...I love glitz. It lights up too!

I love Converse!! I got these shoes on clearance at Target for $8!

Even though she was ill, we still had homework to do.

She writes her name all by herself now. So grown up!

Those Funny Little Things She Says

10.2.10: Her Aunt Jennie asked her if she had to go potty and Lauren replied, "No, I'm just itchin' my butt."

10.3.10: She wrote her name all by herself and I told her how wonderful it looked. She had a big smile on her face and said, "Thanks mommy. The "E" is a little rough, but I will keep practicing."

Family Vacation - Dells Style

So last Thursday, Sept 23, we drove up to Wisconsin Dells (about an hour away) for our first family vacation. We were staying in a condo that my father in law and mother in law had for a timeshare. I wasn't expecting it to be fancy or anything, but it was pretty incredible. We had an amazing time, but are still exhausted and trying to recover.

Lauren was helping daddy pack.

This condo was so nice. 4 bedrooms, 4 bathrooms, full kitchen, etc. We lived like royalty for 3 days.

The kiddos mugging it for the camera.

After dinner we decided to walk through the resort. It was about 1.5 miles to the waterparks.

The first of three indoor waterparks

The second waterpark had a huge wave pool.

The massive arcade.

This climbing structure was 3 stories tall!
Lauren was in awe.

Scott and Mike testing their skills.

Lauren and grandma Connie playing a game.

Too tired to walk back.

Ready for bed in their own room.

Friday morning ready to hit the waterparks!

Finally got Lauren to go down the slide with her Uncle Scott.

Saturday morning, Lauren got her suit on herself. Jason called this a "Brazilian Suit"

Enjoying her lollipop she won at the arcade.

Naps everyday!

The kiddos with the babysitters. Briana and Reed were nice enough to come up and watch the kids Friday night so the adults could go out.

A group shot before check-out on Sunday morning.
