I Got Dots

I wanted to get this down before I forgot. A few days ago, I was getting L dressed for daycare. She was sitting there shirtless and proceeded to examine her tiny little boobies. She had such a perplexed look on her face. J walked in and asked her what she was doing and she looked up at us with a big smile and proudly proclaimed, "I got dots!"

This will be one to share with her boyfriends. Oh boy!

Road Race

I logged 3.5 miles this morning on the treadmill. It feels so good to be done with a workout in the morning. Such a nice feeling knowing I am done working out and it is only 5am.

Tonight it is just L and I. J has his fantasy football draft. A night filled with dolls, coloring, Dora and books. I can only hope we are always this close. I want the kind of relationship that I have with my mother. She is my little girl, but she is growing up so fast.

Memory Lane Monday

Since Mondays are usually so BLAH, I want to start something that is sure to make me smile every Monday. Memory lane Mondays will be a post about a wonderful memory or a picture that reminds me of a special time.
Today's memory: L was about 5-6 months old and was enjoying spitting for our amusement. I remember J and I rolling on the floor with laughter as she sat on our bed with drool running from her mouth to her toes.

15 Minutes of Fame

So J and I had the most incredible time at the Brewer game. First, we had a delicious dinner in the Metavante Club...very fancy and very yummy. Our seats were absolutely amazing! The people we sat to were so nice too.

Anyway, within 10 minutes of the first pitch I had 5 voicemails on my phone. Yup, J and I were famous now. Our goofy mugs were on TV for just about the entire game. What an experience!

Another bonus....the money J purchased the tickets for was going to charity. It was a great night all around! Brewers won 10-4!

Brewers...brats...beer

Ok well maybe not the beer. Yes, sound the alarm, I am a Wisconsin girl who does not like beer. Don't get me wrong...I tried it out in college a few times, but I never took a liking to it. I am not a coffee drinker either.

Tonight my wonderful husband is taking me to the Brewer/Pirates game. He scored some amazing seats (which I believe will be in full view of the camera and a good view of baseball bootay). A little background, my husband and I met on the softball diamond 7 years ago. It was very fitting for me as I am a huge sports junkie. I enjoy playing and watching all kinds of sports. In high school I played volleyball, basketball and softball...I golf occasionally, dabble in bowling. Heck, even our wedding favors were peanuts and cracker jack! So needless to say, this is like a romantic date night for us.

GO BREWERS!

The loves of my life

I thank my lucky stars every day for J and L! They are my life.

Let the fun begin

This is my first time blogging, so we will see how this goes. I am hoping that this will help get my butt in gear towards getting my prebaby body back. You know that body that doesn't have rolls, sagging or other unmentionables. I want that body that 2 years ago I "thought" was still a little too untoned. What was I thinking? I love that body!!

Bear with me a minute while I vent. Why is it that we go through nine months of pregnancy (weight gain, aches, pains, nausea, etc.), a sometimes long and painful labor and delivery, a slow recovery with more pains, breastfeeding, lack of sleep, etc. and we cannot just go back to our prepregnancy bodies? Is that too much to ask? Ok, I know there are some lucky women who do go right back and for that I hate you (only because I am jealous).

This is what I am striving for....see how happy I was on my wedding day?

Anyway, I have been working out every morning at 4am (yes, you heard me right) for the past 9 weeks. I have managed to lose some weight and tone, but I need to up the ante! My handsome husband and I have a trip to Las Vegas planned in 63 days and I would love to not look like a sea cow on the strip. J and I spent our honeymoon in Vegas nearly 5 years ago, so it is an extra special trip us.

So....let the fun begin!!
