Glamour

Since this may be the last wedding I will ever be in, I would love to pick a really glamorous dress! After watching the Oscars the other night, I felt inspired (by SOME of the dresses)

Anyway, it is looking like we may be going with Watters/Wtoo dresses, so I started looking and found 6 dresses that sparked something in me. Now I will have to go try them on and pick a winner. Hopefully I can look half as good in it as these models do. The color is still TBD....but will be either chocolate brown or deep navy.

Here are the contenders:

A Loss

So week one of my diet is done and I am proud to say I dropped 4 lbs!! Yay! This will keep me motivated for the next 6 months. The wedding date is set...August 29th! So I have 6 months to get my prebaby body back.

I CAN DO THIS!

Hire Me!

I have been busy lately getting back into the wedding biz. I have been away from it since Lauren was born. I am helping 2 friends of my mother in laws and now my friend (whose wedding I am in) may let me design and make her invitations! YAY!

Anyway, I am helping her come up with a color scheme and it looks like she may be narrowing it down to brown and shades of pink or navy and shades of red.

I am really digging this style of invite and think I could make this pretty easily, so this is one I proposed for her to consider.

Below are 2 pictures of the invitation I made for my brother's wedding back in 2005. Again, another option for her to consider.

Finally, I designed a couple monograms for the future bride and groom. I must say that the bottom 2 are my favorites!
They are headed to Door County as I type. Hopefully by the end of the weekend they will have a church and reception site booked. They really want August 29, 2009 as the date!
Good luck Mindy and Darren!

Hard Ball

I am so frustrated with this accident!!! I just want things to be done and more and more crap keeps coming up! I am planning to send this letter to the trucking company's insurance provider. I hate that I am not at fault, yet this whole thing can ruin my credit and has changed so many things.

Carol,

I just contacted Mercy Hospital and Dean Medical Center about my medical bills from the accident on January 10, 2009. I was told that when these become past due they need to be paid or they will be turned over to a Collection Agency. I do not want my credit ruined for something that was not my fault. I have faxed over all the bills and would like for these to be taken care of. I know you told me that you usually do not pay bills until a settlement is final, but I cannot afford to have my credit ruined due to this accident. I would like to settle this, but my knees are still bothering me. When we last spoke, you mentioned that we could work out a settlement when I was all healed. I would like to know what the insurance company is proposing as a settlement.

I do not want to involve any lawyers, but if this is going to cause me more issues than just the healing, pain and suffering, then I feel I have no other choice.

Please feel free to contact Mercy and Dean if you have any questions regarding the bills. Also, feel free to call me or email me if you need anything.

Sincerely,
Pam Williams

Bridesmaid

I am so excited. My friend, Mindy, who got engaged on Valentine's Day has asked me to be a bridesmaid in her wedding. I love weddings and I cannot wait to celebrate her big day with her.

They have decided to have the wedding in Door County. I have never been to Door County, but have heard it is beautiful. They are shooting for August-September of THIS year! Yikes! I gotta get my butt in gear and drop some weight. This is the motivation I needed to get going!

Love Is In The Air

I hope everyone had a wonderful Valentine's Day. I have never been a big fan of the holiday, but Jas surprised me with a nice dinner out on Saturday night. We enjoyed it and it was a nice way to spend Valentine's Day with my husband.

Congrats to my longtime friend, (buds since kindergarten) Mindy and her fiance, Darren! They got engaged on Valentine's Day! I am so very happy for you both!

Friday The 13th

I have never been a very supersticious person, but Friday the 13th always has a little something to it. I find myself being just a little MORE careful. Today is my brother in law's birthday. Happy Birthday Scott! I hope you have a terrific one and no black cats cross your path.

I Am A Winner!

I won the Pottery Barn Oversized Anywhere Chair on eBay last night and saved myself over $55 plus the cost of shipping!

Happy Valentine's Day to my little princess.

A Few More Fashion Finds

I came across some more great deals that I am lusting after. These finds come from New York and Company. If you spend $75, you get free shipping!

I am LOVING this leather bomber jacket at a steal for $39.95!

Cute and comfortable at $9.99 on clearance.

Great cardigan in a super color...$9.99 on clearance.

This blazer in charcoal gray has many possibilities for $9.99.

Finally I love the ruffle detail at the collar on this top for $9.99.

The Magic Throne

Lauren LOVES her little chair that she got from her aunt and uncle for her 1st birthday. She sits in it every single day. The problem is the child is growing up quickly and the chair is starting to make her look like she is a giant.

So, I am on a mission to find this great Pottery Barn Oversized Anywhere Chair. These chairs go for about $170 plus shipping on the Pottery Barn Kids website. Um...yeah I love my kid tremendously, but I am not about to pay that kind of money for a chair she will use for another 3-4 years. I am hoping eBay will come through for me.

I won the cover below for $25. Brand new and adorable. This cover cost $79 on the website....SCORE! Now lets hope I can win the insert and Princess Lauren's royal heiny will be sitting pretty in no time.

Fashion Forward

Since I am on a kick to get my body back in shape, I am also on a fashion kick. I love fashion, but since having my daughter I will admit that I have fallen WAY short of being fashionable. Most times you will find me in jeans and t-shirt...a total lack of effort. One huge reason is that I am unhappy with my body, but I am excited to get it back and start dressing the way I love to.

I decided to treat myself to a little shopping spree, since I have not bought much in ages and I spent under $100 for all 14 of these wonderful items below.

This scarf will be the perfect accessory to add a pop of color!

I love this top...so feminine and flirty!

A fun headband with a little glamour!

Love these bangles!

I needed a new black purse since mine is full of glass and crap from the accident. This one should be perfect....trom Target.

How cute will this tank be under a blazer or cardigan?

Another cute headband!

Gotta have some great sunglasses.

All of these items (except for the purse) I got from Forever 21. Free shipping as well....can't beat that!
Let the Fashion Forward me rear it's head again!

Fire, Fire, Fire

Can a 2 year old get expelled from daycare?? I just got a call that Lauren pulled the fire alarm at daycare. Super! The teacher was very sweet about it....apparently my daughter is just curious. You think?

At least she ratted herself out and told the teacher she pulled it. Let's hope this continues well into her teen years. LOL!

I have one question though, who was the genious that put the fire alarms low enough for 2 year olds to reach them??

Happy Friday! My toddler has a record already!

I Want My Routine Back

I have not been able to excercise since the accident and I am getting REALLY antsy! I think my legs are nearly back to normal or as normal as they are going to be. So I am hoping to get back into a workout routine here soon.

Monday: Run/Walk Routine (cardio)
Tuesday: Body Pump (strength training)
Wednesday: Run/Walk Routine
Thursday: Body Pump
Friday: Run/Walk Routine

Saturday and Sunday I will take off or just do fun things with the family.

Oh and I got my first piece of legal mail today....guess the lawyers found out about my accident and are now starting to solicit themselves. Great!

LOL

This picture just makes me laugh outloud! I found her like this when I came into the family room the other night and had to get a picture.

For you Twilight fans out there, "Hold on tight, Spider Monkey!"

Lauren has had a couple other funny lines this past week.

We have been working on manners and I asked her the other day, where are your please and thank you's?

Her reply: "They are in my mouth, mommy."

And finally we asked her what she was going to name her new baby.

Her reply: "Um....tubetop!"

What??? Where did she even hear that word.
