Just A Little Off The Top

So, Lauren's 3 year pictures are done. It was time to cut off some of her long, flowing, pain in my butt, hair. I was tired of combing out snarls, taking 15 minutes to get it all up in pigtails, ponytails, barrettes, etc. just to have to redo it 20 minutes later. So, last night my mother and I did the impossible.
Key points to a SUCCESSFUL toddler haircut
  • have a talented mom/grandma who can cut hair
  • Little Einsteins
  • milk
  • animal crackers and raisins

Here is what we started with.

The first cut

Engrossed in Leo, Quincy, June, Annie and Rocket.

Doesn't she look sweet?

Animal crackers save the day!

Not a big fan of the blow dryer....she will learn.

Just about done...lovin' it!

6 inches of hair later

Posing with the barber...aka grandma!

So, I love her new haircut. I think she looks adorable. It also makes her look older, which saddens me. Her hair grows so fast though. Lauren loves her new do as well. She keeps looking in the mirror and saying, "Oh it is so pretty."

Very cute! Was that her first haircut? Madeline still has not had a haircut, but with her curly hair I figure she doesn't need one. She drives me nuts complaining about me combing it and pulling it up for her. All of my friends are cutting their girls' hair shorter because of that very reason, but it would do me no good unfortunately. Curly hair is just a pain to deal with (although it is cute!).

Amy,

She had a couple trims before...like an inch off. This was the first major one. My niece's hair is curly too and it seems so much shorter, but it is way cute.
