Family Vacation - Dells Style

So last Thursday, Sept 23, we drove up to Wisconsin Dells (about an hour away) for our first family vacation. We were staying in a condo that my father in law and mother in law had for a timeshare. I wasn't expecting it to be fancy or anything, but it was pretty incredible. We had an amazing time, but are still exhausted and trying to recover.

Lauren was helping daddy pack.

This condo was so nice. 4 bedrooms, 4 bathrooms, full kitchen, etc. We lived like royalty for 3 days.

The kiddos mugging it for the camera.

After dinner we decided to walk through the resort. It was about 1.5 miles to the waterparks.

The first of three indoor waterparks

The second waterpark had a huge wave pool.

The massive arcade.

This climbing structure was 3 stories tall!
Lauren was in awe.

Scott and Mike testing their skills.

Lauren and grandma Connie playing a game.

Too tired to walk back.

Ready for bed in their own room.

Friday morning ready to hit the waterparks!

Finally got Lauren to go down the slide with her Uncle Scott.

Saturday morning, Lauren got her suit on herself. Jason called this a "Brazilian Suit"

Enjoying her lollipop she won at the arcade.

Naps everyday!

The kiddos with the babysitters. Briana and Reed were nice enough to come up and watch the kids Friday night so the adults could go out.

A group shot before check-out on Sunday morning.

Organization and Superheros

September is going so fast. Of the next 6 weekends, I think we have something going on 5 of them. Whew! I was just hired by a Madison High School to make them 50 thank you cards designed specifically for them. I am excited to get working on those. Also, we leave for a mini family vacation on Thursday afrer work. Got lots of packing to do for that. I'm sure I will have lots of pictures and stories to share from that. Anyway...onto a few pictures.

Miss Amelia is such a smiley girl!
Lauren wanted to be a superhero...her she is with her cape and mask from Etsy.

I love how she added the pink gloves.

Playing Connect 4, her way.

Finally, this past weekend we actually had no plans, so I made the most of it with a new project. I decided to create an organization station in this space in our kitchen. A place to keep the laptop, outgoing mail, a calendar of all our activities and a place for Lauren to do some homework (yes she is getting a little homework already)

The space before.

And after...I still need to find a pencil cup, mail sorter and a couple boxes for the side storage to hold some things, but it is about 85% done. The bulletin board was from Wal-Mart for $8. Each person has a color code for the calendar so we know who is doing what. Lauren is pink, mommy is green, daddy is orange and the family is black.

We also have to hang that orange wave pendant light. The desk is from Wal-Mart, for $29!

I dressed up these little tins that hold tacks and paper clips.

I would say after all is said and done, this project will cost me under $50!
