It's Been One Of Those Weeks

It has been a rather dreary, dark week. Wednesday was about the only really decent day weather wise. I have been trying hard to keep the family healthy with this quick changing climate. Vitamins, lots of sleep, Pre*Fenz hand sanitizer, etc. Well my luck ran out and Lauren came down with something on Wednesday. She had one of those really deep, croup coughs and a fever. So, she and I stayed home Wednesday and again yesterday. I will post some pictures of our days together soon.

Anyway, one thing I did manage was cleaning out her closet and drawers. I have to pack away a lot of 3T stuff since it is getting too short for her already (the weed) So, I was hoping she would be able to wear last years dress, but when she tried it on....it barely covered her butt. Yikes. Last years gorgeous dress:





So, I decided to check Children's Place, since I had a 20% off coupon and they have some very cute and reasonably priced things. I am happy to say that I was successful and below is Lauren's 2009 Christmas outfit...all for under $30.

Can you tell I am already in the Christmas spirit....sick I know! Finally, I decided I need to put up our Advent tree this year. Lauren is old enough to enjoy it, so I need to come up with 25 fun things to put in the pockets. Thankfully, some friends had some neat ideas for me to add to my own. Looks like candy, hair accessories and such will do the trick. I decided I may wrap up 3-5 little gifts and put in little pieces of paper and when she pulls them out she can select a gift to open. Little things like a book, music CD or fun socks.
