Sick Day

Before I get into our sick days, I had to post this about Monday. I let Lauren pick out her outfit for gymnastics. And here she is in all her glory..doing a little dance move too. Don't you love the leopard pants, purple socks and silver glitter shoes??








So with Lauren home sick for 2 days, it tends to get long (especially if the weather is crummy) Thankfully on Wednesday, it was nice out and I took advantage of it. Since Lauren felt fine for the most part, I decided to bundle her up and we would walk to the Walgreens downtown. Now normally it is about a 5-7 minute car drive, so I knew this would pass the morning away. We needed to get some Vicks VapoRub to help, so that was top priority. We set out with camera, cell phone, wagon and warm clothes at 9am.

While stopping in Walgreen's to get the Vick's, I allowed Lauren to pick out one thing since she was being such a good girl. Amazingly, she picked out a box with 3 pairs of dress up heels and 2 tiaras. My child is going all girlie girl on me now.

We also decided to stop at the park for a little bit to enjoy the day. I knew tomorrow would be cold and rainy. Lauren and I one the merry go round.

Then it was time to head back for lunch. She wanted to help pull the wagon for a bit.

So while we were cooped up at home for most of the 2 days, we had a blast together. Reading books, dancing, watching Ice Age, coloring, playing with dolls and cars....just what the doctor ordered.
